Pump performance monitoring and testing - Condition Monitoring - Predictive maintenance

An immersion temperature probe and a pressure probe are connected to the suction side of a pump, via a T-piece and a valve in a tapping point. Similar probes are connected to the discharge side. The probes can be operated from a battery or a mains supply. The sensor signals are digitised in the probe handles, and data is returned to a notebook computer via a half duplex RS485 interface with MODBUS protocol, either by cable or wirelessly. A power meter provides the additional information for calculation of flow rate.
